Kyar Pauk – Artist and Activist
Kyar Pauk, former frontman of the influential punk rock band Big Bag, is known for his powerful fusion of punk, rock, and indie sounds. Following Myanmar’s 2021 military coup, Pauk became a vocal critic of the regime, using his music and platform to support the Civil Disobedience Movement. Forced into exile, he relocated to Paris, where he continues to create politically charged music. His recent project, Live Session in Paris (2024), captures his raw, unfiltered sound in a stripped-back performance with the EZ Going Band, offering a personal and emotional reflection on his journey and activism.
